Dr. Colleen S. Grafa, PT, DSc, PPI
Physical Therapist and Pilates Instructor
Dr. Colleen Grafa is a licensed Physical Therapist with an advanced Clinical Doctor of Science degree in Orthopedic Physical Therapy, a Master of Science degree in Sports Health and a certification in Women’s Health. She has extensive academic and clinical experience in orthopedic and sports manual therapy, as well as in all aspects of women’s health, including sport injuries, osteoporosis, incontinence and pelvic pain.
Her doctoral dissertation, The Effect of Exercise on Index of Kyphosis, Trunk Strength, Shoulder Flexion and Functional Disability Scores in Postmenopausal Women with Low Bone Mass was awarded the 2003 Poster Presentation of the Year by the Texas Physical Therapy Association. She has written for and has been featured in Pilates Style Magazine ™ as well as authoring professional continuing education manuscripts for the American Physical Therapy Association.
Colleen is certified as a Professional Pilates Instructor (PPI) through the Professional Health and Fitness Institute in Bethesda, Maryland. She has received training in the classical style of Joseph Pilates through Colleen Glenn, now with the Peak Pilates in Boulder, Co. Dr. Grafa is also certified as a Master’s Fitness Trainer. She is the designer of “Good Bones”, a postural correction and education program for people with rounded backs and /or osteoporosis.
She married the “love of her life”; Gary Grafa, in 1981 and they have three wonderful children.
Whitney, a physiology major from the University of Colorado (CU) is completing her Pilates certificate from The Pilates Center, often referred to the “Harvard of Pilates School”, in Boulder, Co. She currently works for the Pilates Center, The Boulder Country Club and Nobo Pilates in Boulder, CO.
Austen is a Humanities / Economic major junior at CU. He founded and currently directs “ CU Serves”, a CU program that donates unused food from campus dining halls to the Boulder Shelter for the Homeless. His prototype just may become the industry standard for food donation for universities around the U.S.
Kirsten is a 15- year old junior varsity soccer player for Sherman High School. She is involved in various school, service and social organizations.
The Grafa’s have lived in Sherman since 1988. Gary Grafa, MD has been honored as the area’s “Best” Obstetrician/Gynecologist.

Michelle White, B.S.
Front Office Manager / Physical Therapy Technician / Sports-General Training Instructor
Michelle is the do-it-all office manager for Ability since 2007. She assists with patient care with exercise education, functional sport training, and as a physical therapy technician.
Michelle is a mother of 2 boys and has been married to her husband Derek for 13 years. She graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelors degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. During College, Michelle competed in Track and Field for 2 years on scholarship. Running marathons with her running group has been a hobby for the past five years and she stays very involved in coaching soccer, baseball and basketball, for her sons, Anthony and Austin.
Sports and athletic activity of all sorts have been a passion Michelle’s whole life and she greatly enjoys working along with patients and athletes to show the benefits from the experience of exercise.

Jamie Ramey, B.A.
Physical therapy tech/ Pilates instructor
Jamie was first introduced to Pilates in 2005 and began teaching in 2010. She is currently a Pilates Method Alliance candidate and is certified by Balance Body University as an instructor of comprehensive Pilates. Jamie's goal is to help clients develop proper technique,and to re-train their body to move in safer, more efficient patterns of motion-invaluable for injury recovery, sports performance, good posture and optimal health.
Jamie received her degree from Austin College and holds a B.A. in Psychology and History. She resides in Sherman with her husband Darrel and two children Sydney and John.

Robin Nabors, LMT, NCTMB
Massage Therapist
Robin s a licensed massage therapist and nationally certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage.
Robin has worked in physical therapy clinics for four years,working with both physical and occupational therapists.Robin attended Universal Body Wellness in McKinney,Texas and has been trained in Swedish massage,deep tissue,and trigger point therapies.
Robin lives in Denison with two of her three children-Keely,15, and John,12.Oldest daughter Meredith,25,lives in Pottsboro.

Alissa Dodson, B.A.

Alissa is a recent graduate of Austin College, where she received her B.A. in Mathematics and a minor in Chemistry.
Alissa was a member of the Austin College Cheerleaders for four years, Captain for two and a half years, and received Cheerleader of the Year twice. Alissa was Austin College Cheerleading Head Judge & Coordinator for local junior high and high school cheerleading tryouts. Alissa is still active in judging and is AACCA Stunt Safety certified for instructing Austin College Cheer camps.
While at Austin College, Alissa was a member of the Pre-Med Society and was a volunteer for many campus activities and events. Alissa was employed by the Austin College Mathematics Department for two years where she tutored college students in Calculus I, II, & III and is currently a private tutor.
Alissa's goal is to contribute strong analytical, intuitive, and interpersonal skills she has developed through academics and volunteer work to her current position as a physical therapy technician. Alissa wishes to continue her education to become a healthcare professional.
